Happy New Month and Welcome to June!
As we step into the beautiful month of June, we extend our warmest wishes to all our supporters, partners, friends, and lovers of culture. May this new month bring joy, peace, success, and countless reasons to celebrate.
As we welcome June, we are still basking in the excitement and unforgettable memories of the just-concluded Celestine Ukwu Memorial Symposium – Season 3, themed “When Music Meets Philosophy.”
A Historic Gathering in Abuja
On the 10th of May 2026, history was made as lovers of culture, music, philosophy, and community development gathered at the prestigious Art and Culture Cinema Hall, Area 10, Garki, Abuja, for an extraordinary celebration of the life and legacy of the legendary music maestro, Celestine Ukwu.
Hosted by the Celestine Ukwu Memorial Foundation (CUMF) in conjunction with the Umuavulu-Abor Progressive Union, Abuja Branch, the symposium brought together distinguished personalities from different walks of life who came to honour a man whose music continues to inspire generations decades after his passing.
When Music Truly Met Philosophy
The symposium once again demonstrated why Celestine Ukwu remains one of Africa’s greatest musical philosophers. His songs are more than melodies; they are timeless lessons on life, morality, culture, leadership, hard work, and human relationships.
Through engaging discussions, thought-provoking presentations, documentary screenings, and live musical performances, participants were taken on a remarkable journey through the wisdom and philosophy embedded in the works of the music icon.
The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to reflect on the enduring relevance of Celestine Ukwu’s message in today’s society and how his teachings can contribute to building stronger communities and better individuals.
Distinguished Guests and Massive Support
The event attracted notable personalities, community leaders, cultural enthusiasts, academics, media practitioners, music lovers, and supporters from various parts of Nigeria.
Their presence was a clear testament to the enduring impact and relevance of Celestine Ukwu’s legacy. The atmosphere was filled with admiration, celebration, learning, and a shared commitment to preserving the cultural heritage he left behind.
AIT Television Covers the Event
One of the major highlights of the symposium was the presence of Africa Independent Television (AIT), which covered and aired the event, helping to project the message and legacy of Celestine Ukwu to a wider audience across Nigeria and beyond.
This media coverage further reinforces our commitment to ensuring that the wisdom, philosophy, and cultural values championed by the great maestro continue to reach future generations.
Building a Legacy Beyond Music
Beyond celebrating music, the symposium also highlighted the ongoing humanitarian and community development efforts of the Celestine Ukwu Memorial Foundation.
Standing on the platform built by her legendary father, Barr. Cynthia Ukwu continues to lead initiatives focused on touching lives, empowering communities, supporting the less privileged, preserving culture, and promoting positive social change—one life at a time.
The success of Season 3 serves as another reminder that the legacy of Celestine Ukwu is not only being remembered but is actively being transformed into meaningful impact for society.
